Sometimes we walk through seasons of life that are difficult to understand. We wonder why it has to hurt, what the purpose could possibly be, or if anything beautiful can come from the pain. But even in the heartbreak and the hardest moments, there is something to be learned, something that shapes us, and often, something that leads us somewhere we never expected to go.
The Dock began as an outlet for me during one of the saddest seasons of my life, and somehow, through the words and the healing, it blossomed into a love story.
Through my writing, I hope to remind people that suffering touches every life, compassion is what connects us, and that love has the power to carry us through even the darkest seasons. So much of life comes down to the quiet choices we make each day—to keep going, to keep loving, to extend grace, and to believe that something beautiful can still grow from what once broke us.
Give love, to yourself and to those around you. Look a little closer. Slow down long enough to notice what is still good. Because even after the hardest storms, there is beauty waiting to be seen—and this world, in all its brokenness and wonder, is truly so beautiful.
